Dear Henri, had its world premiere at the Seattle International Film Festival on May 27, 2017. It was also selected for the New York Shorts Fest and screened at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema on May 30, 2017.

DEAR HENRI is a short film by Matthew Sandager. It combines live action with stop-motion animation to tell the story of nine-year-old Henri who recently lost her beloved namesake and pen pal, Grandpa Henry. One summer day, Henri “sends” a series of letters to her grandfather and imagines the magically circuitous route her messages take. Will she ever receive a response?
